Just like last year, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith attended the soiree to lend their support to Chrysalis, but no one expected them to talk, especially since Cory hasn’t given interviews to the press since he admitted himself to a rehab facility for substance addiction in April. Yet, after posing for photos with girlfriend Michele, Cory decided to take it upon himself to conduct only a couple interviews.
The actor could not have been nicer or more forthcoming. The proud boyfriend told me that Lea looked absolutely beautiful, and he was so happy to be with her to support such a tremendous cause. Without referencing Cory’s recent struggles specifically, I did ask him about bouncing back from life’s struggles—noting that none of us get out of this life unscathed. “It’s all about perseverance,” he told me. “Absolute perseverance.
